Please read this page before you use our guides, tools, or emails. By using the Site or buying from Homesteading Alliance, you accept the points below.
Everything we publish, including The Living Soil Cookbook, our bonuses, add-on guides, calculators, emails, and web pages, is for general educational and informational purposes. It describes traditional and natural farming methods and homesteading practices. It is not professional advice of any kind.
Nothing we publish comes from a licensed physician, pharmacist, certified crop advisor, or attorney unless a page says so. You are responsible for deciding what is right for your own garden, home, family, and situation.
We make no promise about yields, plant health, pest or disease outcomes, savings, or any other result. Your results depend on your soil, climate, water, crops, materials, timing, and how consistently you follow the methods. Natural farming takes time to build. The first season is often about getting biology established, and noticeable changes usually take longer.
Research and case studies we mention come from third-party farms, universities, and organizations, often at a much larger scale than a backyard. Those figures are not typical results for any individual reader, and we do not claim you will match them.
The ferments, teas, and extracts in our guides are mineral tonics and biostimulants. They are not presented as fertilizer replacements, and they work best alongside good compost and mineral-rich soil. Homemade preparations are not registered pest-control products, and we do not claim they prevent or cure any specific pest or disease.
Some methods in our guides involve materials that need care, including lye, sulfur preparations, fish and animal-based inputs, manure, and fermenting liquids. You are responsible for using them safely.
Any guide on home fermentation, herbal preparation, or medicinal gardening covers general household use only. It is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor, pharmacist, or professional herbalist. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, managing a health condition, or preparing anything for a child, talk with a qualified professional first. If a ferment or preparation looks, smells, or feels wrong, when in doubt, throw it out.
Our calculators, planners, and checkers give estimates based on general rules and the numbers you enter. They can contain mistakes and cannot account for every condition in your garden. Check results against product labels, your own observations, and local guidance before you act on them.
We may link to outside websites, books, or products. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or for any purchase you make there. If we ever earn a commission on something we recommend, we will tell you.
